Objective:

Execute a community awareness campaign surrounding the annual SeaWheeze half marathon and festival and manage the communications centre during the weekend long event.

Our Approach:

  • Create effective multi-pronged communications document that reach the over 100,000 affected community members with clear verbiage and calls to action.

  • Set up and manage a communications centre that is set up to successfully respond to any queries from local businesses, residents and the City of Vancouver

  • Prepare the internal events team for potential crisis situations that may arise during this weekend long festival event.

Results:

  • A decrease year over year of calls of concern from residents and business members

  • One of the best run event communication centres for one of North America’s top-rated half marathon events.
