Objective:
Execute a community awareness campaign surrounding the annual SeaWheeze half marathon and festival and manage the communications centre during the weekend long event.
Our Approach:
Create effective multi-pronged communications document that reach the over 100,000 affected community members with clear verbiage and calls to action.
Set up and manage a communications centre that is set up to successfully respond to any queries from local businesses, residents and the City of Vancouver
Prepare the internal events team for potential crisis situations that may arise during this weekend long festival event.
Results:
A decrease year over year of calls of concern from residents and business members
One of the best run event communication centres for one of North America’s top-rated half marathon events.
